Non-Contact Connectors Arrayed Fiberoptics invented first Non-Contact (NC) connector, where is no contact between fiber surfaces but with significantly better performance than conventional alternatives. There are two key elements in the NC connector, 1) the fiber surface is recessed, 2) the fiber surface has an anti - reflection coating. NC style MPO, SC, FC and LC connectors, both UPC and APC are already available. The fiber connectors offer a typical insertion loss of 0.06 dB, repeatable to within less than or equal to 0.01 dB. Return loss is greater than or equal to 70 dB (single mode).
